Galatians 2:20 – I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I thank God I am not who I used to be.  That man lived for himself.  He made decisions with a carnal mind that often lead him down a road of destruction, misery and a life full of drama.  If that wasn’t bad enough that horrible road sought to lead him to an eternity separated from the love of God.  Jesus Christ died and rose again so that man (me) could have a new hope.  A new road to travel that leave the carnal way of thinking behind.  Today my spirit is alive and I walk a road that leads me to peace and victory.  A road that does not seek to destroy me but to bring me abundant life.  A road where eternity is secure in Jesus Christ and a life forever with him.

Here I stand, the great eagle, on top of the highest mountain.  I look out at the trees, and all I see are their highest  branches.

I can feel the wind blowing through my feathers and the sun is high in the sky.  The clouds are scattered as far as the eye can see.

I spread my wings and feel the wind blow through them, it’s a warm wind.  I lower my body down to the earth and with every muscle in my body I jump int9o the air, flapping my wings as hard as I can.  Higher  and Higher I go. The higher I go the faster I go, the wind is whipping in my face, I stop climbing the sky and just glide through the air, I look down to see the trees pass by so very fast underneath me.  I look down and see a huge lake, I fly down to it and just glide above the surface, I look at my reflection in the water, I saw myself in the water and behind me was the glowing sunshine surrounding me with warmth and love.

I turn around and fly back to my mountain top, I flap my wings to slow down and my feet touch the warm soft earth.  I look up into the sky, close my eyes, and thank Jesus for a beautiful day, and a wonderful life.
